Well, 2020 is nearly over, and most of us won't miss it! It hasn't been as bad for us Kiwis as many of us probably feared — but I'm sure it's been worse than expected for many of you. How many Images should I include in my album? We get this question on a day-to-day basis and it’s always tricky to answer. How big is the album? What’s your style? Do you like big images or lots of white space? Do you have a story to tell? But we understand that photographers do need to guide their clients. Submitting 300 images for an 8x8 album just won’t work. Sometimes you’ll have thousands of shots from an event and your first challenge will be selecting the hundred or so to go in the album! So here’s the guide our designers use when creating album layouts. Just To View More >>

After more than fifteen years in the business, UK photographer Simon Whitten of Firehorse Photography & Filming has covered more than 600 weddings on four continents. He's has been a friend of Queensberry for much of his career. Simon is strong-minded character who believes that the key to success is to find your own way and stand out from the crowd. "Don't follow the latest fads or fashions," he says, "or you will only ever be a follower, and always late to the party." We asked him a few questions about how that's reflected in his life and work… Simon's first To View More >>

For us, that was how things worked and what things were called. It was our day-to-day language and modus operandi. It would take a new person joining to remind us that To View More >>

Written by: Clare Breheny When someone asks me what I do for a living and I tell them I’m a boudoir photographer, the usual response is, ‘Oh, women getting pictures for their husbands,’ or ‘Oh, like a bride giving it as a gift on a wedding day’. Every time I shake my head, and explain that’s it’s WAY more than that… but how do you say modestly that the time you spend with them might actually change how they live their lives? Whilst working with a bride embarking on her wedding day is very rewarding, some of my favourite clients have come to To View More >>

So you've gone to the trouble of uploading images and setting up price lists for Queensberry Print products, hoping to make some extra income for Christmas. But there's one more thing to do. Your work and images will just disappear into the lonely reaches of the internet unless you make a noise... Remember the internet is NOT like a shopping mall. People can't just walk past and see what you've got in your window. So think of Workspace like a soapbox. You need to stand up on it and draw a crowd. Not that it's hard! First, let your past clients know about the fantastic new products on offer. Give To View More >>
