Queensberry sustainability practices

Queensberry works to reduce the environmental impact of its activities and to contribute positively to the communities in which we operate.

Our approach

Every manufactured product has an environmental cost. Our responsibility is to choose durable materials from trustworthy suppliers, use resources carefully, reduce waste and build products intended to last for generations.

Materials and suppliers

We maintain long-term supplier relationships focused on quality, dependability and responsible production. Material selection considers durability, manufacturing practices, continuity of supply and environmental impact.

Handmade production

Hand production uses less intensive machinery than many automated processes and supports skilled, long-term employment in our Auckland team.

Waste and packaging

  • Production inputs are monitored to reduce avoidable waste.
  • Recyclable laboratory, paper and card waste is recovered where local facilities allow.
  • Useful card and paper offcuts may be shared with local schools and early-childhood centres.
  • Shipping uses recycled or recyclable cartons and biodegradable plant-based packing pellets where appropriate.

Logistics

International freight remains part of our environmental footprint. We select established logistics partners and consider both outbound delivery and inbound supply chains when reviewing our practices.

Sustainability claims and supplier programmes can change. This article should be reviewed periodically against current materials, packaging, waste and freight practices.
